Teaching blends can be a challenge. It is a pretty big step up from learning just beginning phonic sounds. This time, they get to put two letters together to make words.

Helpful tip: Sound out, each blend sound with no visuals first. Create a fun game doing it! Maybe do a pretend animal sound by using each blend. Fun is always the key to learning, anyway. By doing a fun game like this, your little learner will be confident that he or she can sound out and read words with blends.
